Pastor Chris on Why Jesus Died and What It Means Today

In a stirring and faith-building message, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome reminded believers that in Christ, there is no such thing as luck, shortage, or lack. Speaking with conviction and spiritual clarity, he explained that the Christian life is not shaped by chance but by divine identity. “Listen,” he said. “I believe. Jesus didn’t die for nothing. He died to make us sons of God. And if that is true, then we must act like it.”

This teaching, delivered with characteristic passion, pointed believers to the foundation of their spiritual authority, the finished work of Jesus Christ. Pastor Chris stressed that Christianity is not a life of uncertainty but a life of guaranteed supply, divine backing, and supernatural ability. The believer’s mindset, he said, must align with what Christ has accomplished.

Jesus Died to Make Us Sons of God

Pastor Chris explained that the sacrifice of Jesus was not simply the forgiveness of sins but the creation of a new kind of person: sons of God with His nature, life, and abilities.

“Jesus didn’t die for nothing,” he said. “He died to make us sons of God. If that is true, we must act like it.”

Drawing from scriptures like John 1:12 and Romans 8:15, he emphasized that the new birth is not symbolic but literal: believers have received the life of God. This divine sonship means they no longer live as victims of circumstances or prisoners of scarcity.

A son of God cannot walk in shortage because his Father owns all things. A son of God does not chase luck because he carries divine purpose. A son of God does not fear tomorrow because eternity lives within him.

A New Kingdom Mindset with Pastor Chris

Pastor Chris taught that the kingdom of God does not operate by the principles of chance or randomness. Shortage does not exist in God’s economy, and lack is not part of the believer’s inheritance.

“Where there’s no such thing as luck or shortage,” he said, “we must think differently. We must talk differently. We must act differently.”

He explained that faith in Christ introduces believers into a realm where God supplies according to His riches, not human ability. The miraculous becomes normal when the mind is renewed. “The life of the miraculous in the supernatural is not based on some special gift you must have,” he said. “It’s based on understanding who you are in Christ.”

Understanding the Gifts of the Spirit

Pastor Chris also addressed common misconceptions about the gifts of the Spirit, noting that many Christians limit their understanding to 1 Corinthians 12 without realizing that the New Testament contains more revelation on the subject.

“Some read First Corinthians and think all the gifts are there,” he explained. “But that book was written to one church. He didn’t list everything. He didn’t give them all the information because of what they were dealing with at the time.”

He encouraged believers to study the New Testament broadly, Romans, Ephesians, and other epistles, to gain a fuller understanding of spiritual gifts and ministry functions.

The point, he summarized, is that the Spirit’s gifts are diverse and widespread. They are given, not to elevate individuals, but to benefit others and strengthen the entire body of Christ.

Gifts That Bring Help, Healing, and Strength

When Pastor Chris turned to the purpose of spiritual gifts, he highlighted a key principle: “The manifestation of the Spirit is given to everyone for the common good.”

He explained that the gifts of the Spirit are designed to help others, edify the Church, and reveal Jesus. Healing, for example, operates in two dimensions, one within the Church and one for the world.

“Healing the sick has two ministries,” he said. “One is in the house, where the gifts of the Spirit work.”

Within the Church, the gifts flow among believers for restoration, strengthening, and divine intervention. Outside the Church, healing functions as a sign to the world, a testimony of God’s power and love.

Pastor Chris reminded believers that they are vessels of this supernatural ministry. They are not waiting for God to move; God is waiting for them to act in faith.

Pastor Chris explains: The Supernatural Lifestyle

Returning to his core message, Pastor Chris urged believers to live consciously as sons of God. This means refusing to speak or think in terms of lack, chance, or limitation. It means living with awareness of divine partnership.

“The life of the supernatural is not based on having some special gift,” he said. “It’s based on knowing who you are, a son of God.”

He taught that Christians must train themselves to see abundance where others see shortage, to speak life where others speak fear, and to expect miracles as part of everyday living. The Holy Spirit in the believer guarantees a life of supply, wisdom, and victory.

Walking in the Fullness of Christ

Pastor Chris closed his message by lifting believers’ eyes to the reality of their inheritance. In Christ, they have everything necessary for a godly, victorious, supernatural life.

There is no luck — only purpose.
There is no shortage — only supply.
There is no limitation — only the Spirit’s power.

“Act like sons,” he said. “That’s who you really are.”

Through teachings like this, Pastor Chris continues to build the global Church with truth, identity, and revelation: empowering believers to walk boldly in the miraculous life Christ purchased for them.
