Pastor Chris on Faith, Truth, and Miracles: What Every Believer Must Know

We are constantly bombarded with information; facts, figures, headlines, and statistics. While facts are important, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome reminds us of a greater reality: the truth of God’s Word, which is higher than any human fact. In his teaching on separating truth from facts, Pastor Chris sheds light on the key to walking in divine health, success, and victory, and that key is faith in the truth.

Be Conscious of God’s Truth says Pastor Chris

The Bible tells us in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” This scripture is often quoted, but not always fully understood. Pastor Chris explains that Jesus wasn’t referring to general knowledge or worldly truth. He was referring to the truth in God’s realm; the eternal, unchangeable Word of God.

There’s a difference between a fact and the truth. Facts are based on natural observations and circumstances. For instance, a medical report may state that a person has a tumor or a chronic illness. That report is a fact. But Pastor Chris teaches that facts are not the ultimate reality — truth is. And truth is what God has said in His Word.

The truth says, “By His stripes, you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). The truth says, “You are complete in Christ” (Colossians 2:10). The truth says, “You can do all things through Christ” (Philippians 4:13). No matter what the facts say, the truth — God’s Word — must have the final say.

This is where faith comes in.

Faith is not denial. Faith doesn’t ignore the facts, it simply refuses to let them dictate the outcome. Faith holds onto God’s truth until it becomes the new reality. As Pastor Chris often says, “Faith changes facts.” When you focus your heart and mind on the truth of God’s Word and speak it boldly, your circumstances begin to align with the Word. That’s when miracles happen.

The Month of Conscious Truth

As we’ve entered the month of August; the ‘Month of Conscious Truth‘, declared by the man of God, Pastor Chris — this message couldn’t be more timely. It’s a divine call to live intentionally by the truth of God’s Word. Not just occasionally, but consciously — with full awareness that the Word is the ultimate authority. This month, believers everywhere are stirred to reject the shifting narratives of the world and boldly align their lives with what God has said. Living in conscious truth means choosing the Word over fear, over doubt, and over every contradicting report. It’s about fixing your heart and mouth on God’s promises and expecting the supernatural every day.

It all begins with what you believe in your heart and what you speak with your mouth. Psalm 15:2 describes the one who shall dwell in God’s holy hill as someone who “walks uprightly… and speaks the truth in his heart.” That truth must be planted deep within — not just recited, but meditated upon and believed.

Pastor Chris: Speak and Meditate on the Word

In Joshua 1:8, God instructed Joshua on how to guarantee success:
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night…”
This wasn’t just advice — it was a spiritual law. Speaking and meditating on the Word changes what you believe, how you think, and ultimately what you experience. It’s a lifestyle of living in truth, not just knowing it intellectually.

Pastor Chris highlights that the Word of God must become your reality. For example, if someone tells you, “You’re not smart enough,” you don’t accept it. You immediately replace it with truth: “I have the mind of Christ. I am full of wisdom. I am God’s masterpiece.” When you speak the truth in your heart and out loud, you position yourself for supernatural results.

This principle is vital in the life of every believer. Too many Christians live beneath their inheritance because they focus more on the visible facts than the invisible truth. But we are called to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). The visible world is temporary, but God’s Word is eternal. When you believe that, speak it, and act on it — miracles become your daily experience.

God’s Word is Eternal

In Ephesians 4:14-15 (AMP), we are encouraged to grow up in Christ by living truthfully:
“Let our lives lovingly express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]…”
This is how we mature spiritually and live above the storms of life.

So no matter what you’re facing today — health issues, financial pressure, discouragement, or fear — don’t magnify the facts. Magnify the truth. God’s Word is your light, your anchor, and your victory. It’s more real than anything you can see, feel, or touch.

“The truth of God’s Word is what delivers you from the facts of life.” — Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Believe it. Speak it. Live it.

And as you do, you’ll witness miracles unfold — not because of what you see, but because of what you believe.
